One of the original partners that helped establish SOFSA, Emilija now sits on the board and brings her philanthropic and coalition-building skills to the table to help further SOFSA’s mission. With a background in public health and a systems-lens, she is committed to addressing systemic inequities and social determinants of health, both of which have huge interplay with the food system. 

Originally from Macedonia, Emilijia has made Syracuse her home since childhood. She is drawn to Central New York’s natural beauty, and to the ever-shifting food scene in the city.
