Governance: Board & Community Connectors

Falantina Asttaifo

Community Connector

Falantina got involved with SOFSA after being the recipient of a Food Justice Fund grant in 2025. SOFSA's work aligns with her passion for providing healthy, real food to her community. Through her business, Mesopotamia, she makes ready-to-eat, culturally relevant dishes for her Northside neighbors, but she also runs the Lodi Triangle Night Market, where she brings together vendors and farmers to increase access to fresh food and community building. Since moving to Syracuse, Falantina has fallen in love with the sense of community, and the ways in which so many organizations and people are working together to support one another and keep folks connected and strong.
