Currently working on his Master's in Public Administration, after completing a bachelor's at SY, Lucas has seen firsthand the effects of food insecurity on the Central New York region. Upon learning of SOFSA, he saw an opportunity to learn more about and address this issue. Lucas believes that improving the food system in Onondaga County can boost the quality of life for many residents, and in a time when the region is undergoing so much change, this issue can’t be overlooked.

Lucas joins the SOFSA team as the Urban Agriculture fellow, where he brings his experience doing research, networking, communication, and data analysis to support events and programs that bring together urban growers.
